  • The restock screen shows stock as 11.92, not a long string of decimals, and no longer puts the old batch's expiry date on new stock.
  • Shelf products bought with cash on hand show their own name in Cash on Hand instead of "Stock purchase".
  • The Regenerate Blurb button is gone. It filled in the same sentence every time rather than writing a description.

Returns and refunds, and selling by the metre or the kilo

  • Give money back for part or all of a sale. POS → menu → Return / Refund finds the sale, takes back any of its items, and refunds what the customer actually paid for them — after the order's discount, with its share of any tax. Put returns back on the shelf or write them off as damaged. An admin approves each refund, cash refunds come off the drawer's expected cash, and the day's refunds show on their own line in the daily report.How it works
  • Sell by the metre, foot, kilo, pound, litre or gallon. A product counted in one of these opens a keypad at the till that asks how much — type 2.3 for 2.3 metres of chain — and the line total, the stock and the receipt all use that amount.How it works

  • Tap the quantity on any line in the order to type it: 50 boxes of screws is one entry instead of fifty taps on +.
  • Switching between categories on the POS is instant, and no longer reloads your products every time you tap one — quicker on a slow connection, and lighter on data.
  • KAISHA writes for shops that sell goods. A hardware or general store gets posts about what a product does and the job it gets done, campaign examples like a tool launch or a painting kit bundle, and image prompts for product photos on a shelf or workbench — not food on a plate.How it works

  • A discount set for one product now shows that product's name in the discount list, even when you're looking at a different category.

  • Kasenso now works for shops that sell goods as well as food. Choose Retail goods under Settings → What You Sell, and each product keeps its own stock count: a sale takes it off, a void puts it back, and Inventory lets you restock, count a shelf or write off damaged stock.   • Scan barcodes at the till. Give a product its barcode, then scan it with a USB or Bluetooth scanner and it goes straight into the order — no need to tap the search box or find its category first.How it works

  • Bring your whole catalogue in from a spreadsheet. Products → Import / Export reads a CSV from Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, shows you every new and changed product before saving, and skips any row it can't use with the reason. Cost of goods in plain words, and your own currency in Settings

Only an admin can void a sale

Improved

  • Voiding a sale now needs an admin of your shop. The approval box used to accept any login, including the cashier's own; now it only takes an admin of this business, and the void is recorded under that admin's name. Cashiers can still move orders through the kitchen, but can no longer change a sale after it is rung up.
  • Staff can no longer change their own page access, and a manager can no longer change the owner's account. Only an admin can decide which screens a cashier sees, and only the owner can change the owner's role, email or password.

Fixed

  • The cost of goods card in Analytics now leads with the share of sales it took, not the total, so a quiet month no longer looks like good news just because less was sold. It also splits each change into selling more or less and each sale costing more or less, and no longer says sales grew in a month they fell.

Report a problem from Settings, and tighter account security

  • Send us feedback or report a problem straight from Settings, next to the version number. A cashier who hits something odd mid-shift no longer has to remember the website to tell us about it.

  • Your staff accounts, logo, menu photos and store link are now locked to your business alone — nobody outside your shop can change them. A staff member on a very old account may be asked to confirm their email the next time they sign in.

Send a receipt instead of printing it

New

  • Send a receipt instead of printing it. Tap Send and pick Messenger, Viber, WhatsApp, Gmail or SMS — whatever the customer already uses. The copy they get is the copy your printer makes: same lines, same total, same order number. To keep one for yourself instead, choose Save to Files inside the same menu.How it works
  • Your tax number is no longer called TIN unless you call it that. Name it whatever your country does — VAT No., ABN, GSTIN — right next to the number in Settings, and that is what prints. Shops that have been printing TIN keep printing TIN; nothing changes unless you change it.How it works
  • Choose what appears at the top of your receipt. Your address, phone number and tax number each have their own switch, so you can leave a detail on file without putting it on every receipt you hand out.How it works

  • Looking at a whole year no longer lists every expense you recorded in it. A month or less still names what the expenses figure is made of; beyond that the list ran to hundreds of rows and buried the total it was meant to explain.How it works

Take a dish off the register, and find anything in a long list

New

  • Hide a product from the register without deleting it. A dish that has run out leaves the register and the online store, and comes back with one tap — and it keeps every sale it has ever made, which deleting it would have taken with it.How it works
  • Any dropdown with more than five choices now has a search box. Picking a stock item out of everything you carry no longer means scrolling. Type any part of the name, in any order — "330 cola" finds Coca-Cola (330ml).
  • Yesterday is now one of the periods on the dashboard, not just in Reports. It is the day most owners actually look at over their morning coffee, because it is the one that has finished.

Improved

  • The dashboard now shows how its figures add up, the same way Reports does — sold, tax taken off, food taken off, expenses taken off, in one column you can follow down to net profit.
  • The expenses line in that breakdown names what it is made of, largest first, and marks a share of a recurring cost as recurring so it is not mistaken for money that left the till that day. The tax line carries the rate actually charged over the period, so a rate you changed halfway through still explains the figure beside it.How it works
  • Edit or delete a recurring cost from the breakdown that names it, instead of working out which month it was entered in and switching the filter there. The screen now also says what each control does — an edit reaches months you have already reported on, and switching Recurring off removes the cost from every period rather than ending it from today.How it works
  • "Sales without Tax" instead of "Sales excl.", and the same for the captions that spell out a calculation. An abbreviation you have to decode is a label that failed.How it works

  • An order of nothing but bottled drinks or packed snacks no longer goes to the kitchen display. It is done the moment it is paid for, so the kitchen is not left clearing tickets for something already handed over the counter. Anything that has to be made still goes through, including a combo with one cooked item in it.How it works
  • Looking at Yesterday no longer asks "Why is today negative?" above yesterday's figures, or calls them today's expenses. Any single day is now named — today, yesterday, or its date — and the date is printed under the heading, so a screenshot still makes sense tomorrow.

Rent that counts every day, and reports that add up

  • Rank your top sellers by money as well as by units. The best seller by count is often an add-on; the one carrying the shop is usually something else.How it works

  • Business Performance now shows the sales figure your profit is actually built on. Gross Sales and Net Sales sit above the tax line, and Sales excl. Tax below it — so the gap between them is discounts, which is all it ever was.How it works
  • Expenses opens on any month you pick, or a whole year at once. It now loads only the period you are looking at instead of every expense you have ever recorded, so the page stays quick on a slow connection.How it works

Fixed

  • A recurring cost now counts in every period it runs in, not just the one you entered it in. Rent of 15,000 a month shows as 500 on a day, 3,500 on a week and the full amount on a month. Your operating and net profit will read lower on short periods than they did before, because costs that were quietly missing from them are now there.How it works
  • Cost Ratio and profit margin are measured against sales with the tax taken out, the same figure the profit lines use. Both read a point or two less flattering than before, and are now the truth.How it works
  • The dashboard now shows the collected tax and the interest it takes off, so the cards above net profit add up to the figure printed beside them instead of leaving a gap you could not account for.
  • A bundle no longer offers a recipe. Its cost has always come from the items inside it — each keeps its own recipe — so anything entered on the bundle was quietly ignored and its costing read as 100% profit.

Your own currency, and only the payment buttons you use

  • Choose the currency your shop prices in. Every screen follows it at once — the register, receipts, reports and your online store. It changes the symbol, not the numbers, so nothing is converted.How it works

Buttons you can actually reach, and posts you can send to Facebook

  • Send a KAISHA draft straight to Facebook from a phone or tablet: tap Share, pick Facebook, tap Post. The caption is copied at the same time, so if the box opens empty you just paste.How it works
  • Every version and what changed in it is now listed at kasenso.com/releases — reachable from Settings, under the version number.

Improved

  • Restocking no longer insists you say where the money came from. It is optional and folded away, already set to the way you paid last time.How it works
  • Report Waste has its own icon. It used to share the falling-arrow one with Expenses, which said nothing about spoiled stock.How it works

Fixed

  • Any window taller than your screen — editing an item, restocking, reporting waste — could not be scrolled, so its Save button was out of reach. They scroll now, and the main button stays on screen while you fill the form in.
  • Your tax is shown under your own name everywhere, instead of some screens still calling it VAT.How it works
